Realitology
Tale

Engineer the bedtime story into an instrument of development.

Every tale is composed for one child — calibrated to their age, built around the words they love, set inside the cultural tradition you choose, and aimed at a specific soft skill. Ready in under a minute, in English, Russian or French. Read it aloud yourself, or play the narration and listen together.

Why Personalisation Changes the Outcome

A generic fairy tale broadcasts.
This one is addressed.

Children do not attend to stories in general. They attend to stories that speak their language — and attention is the precondition for every developmental effect a story can have.

Three conditions govern whether a tale does any work at all. It must be pitched to the child's actual developmental stage, or it will either bore them or lose them. It must be built from vocabulary and subject matter they are already drawn to, because interest is what holds a child through to the resolution. And it must carry one deliberate lesson rather than a diffuse moral, because a single clear pattern is what a young mind can extract and reuse.

Realitology Tale collapses all three conditions into a single screen. You specify the child; the application composes the story. What arrives is not a story your child happens to hear — it is a story that could not have been written for anyone else.

What You Control

The parameters of the tale

Eight fields, filled once per child and saved to their profile. Change any one of them and the story changes with it.

01

Age

Entered in years and months. Sentence length, vocabulary, plot complexity and emotional register all scale to developmental stage.

02

Words

Enter the words your child already loves, or new vocabulary you want them to meet. The narrative is constructed to carry those words naturally.

03

Interests

Dinosaurs, machines, forests, the sea. Whatever currently occupies your child becomes the world the story is set in.

04

Soft skill

Select the trait the plot should exercise — empathy, courage, focus, forgiveness. Choose one, or layer several into a single tale.

05

Cultural tradition

Place the tale inside a specific narrative heritage, so the child meets a genuine storytelling form rather than a generic one.

06

Language

Compose in English, Russian or French — useful for bilingual households and for maintaining a second language at home.

07

Duration

From a few minutes to forty-five. The story is built to the length you set, which makes it fit the evening instead of fighting it.

08

Child profile

Each child keeps their own parameters, their own library and their own series. Nothing is shared between siblings.

Developmental Targets

Choose what the story teaches

A soft skill is not appended as a moral at the end. It is the axis the plot turns on: the protagonist meets a difficulty that can only be resolved by exercising that specific trait, and the child follows them through it.

Empathy and compassion Courage Curiosity Creativity Confidence Self-motivation Stress management Self-preservation and safety Positivity Justice Forgiveness Friendship Prosocial behaviour Diligence Productivity Persuasion Leadership

Narrative Heritage

Ten cultural traditions,
each with its own grammar

Every storytelling culture resolves difficulty differently — and each teaches a distinct way of thinking about problems. Choosing the tradition is choosing which of those logics your child spends the evening inside.

Slavic folklore

Cunning over strength, the youngest child who succeeds where elders failed, and help that arrives from the natural world.

Japanese legend

Restraint, attentiveness and quiet observation — resolution through patience rather than confrontation.

Celtic myth

Thresholds, transformation and the pull of the unseen; courage expressed as the willingness to cross over.

And beyond

More than ten traditions are available in the application, so a child can meet a genuinely different narrative form each evening.

Continuation

If the story lands,
one tap continues it

Children attach to characters, not to plots. When a tale clearly works — when your child asks what happens next — a single tap composes the following chapter: the same hero, the same world, the chosen skill carried further.

Chapters accumulate into series, and series into a library your child recognises as theirs. That recognition is what turns a nightly obligation into something they come looking for.

Text and Audio

Read it yourself,
or listen together

Every tale arrives as text and as audio. Read it aloud in your own voice — still the most valuable version for a young child — or open the built-in player and listen alongside them.

The narration is warm, expressive and deliberately paced for the descent into sleep. Playback speed, the full story text and offline download are all in the player, so the tale works on a plane or in a car as readily as at home.

Method

Developed with fairy-tale therapists

The application was built with the participation of practitioners of fairy-tale therapy, and draws on contemporary developmental psychology and research into early childhood.

Therapeutic storytelling is a specific discipline, not a metaphor. Its practitioners work with a known structure: a protagonist the child can occupy without resistance, a difficulty scaled to be genuinely uncomfortable yet survivable, and a resolution the child arrives at alongside the hero rather than receives from a narrator. Realitology Tale generates to that structure — which is why the soft skill you select shapes the plot itself rather than appearing as a line of instruction at the end.

A story a child chooses to re-enter is doing more developmental work than a lesson they are asked to sit through.

The application belongs to the wider programme of the Realitology Institute, alongside Realitology for Parents — the Institute's book on the cognitive mechanics of childhood.

For the Record

Nothing about your child
leaves your family

You are entering your child's age, their interests and the words they love. That is exactly the kind of information that should never be collected — so it isn't.

Both stores carry the same declaration: no data collected and nothing shared with third parties. On Google Play the application is additionally listed as committed to the Families policy. It is rated 4+ and free to download.
